Can you tender me some examples of isotonic and isometric exercise? What is the difference between them?

Isometric means the muscle maintain the same size (iso scheme equal). Holding a big book with your elbow bent will produce tautness, but the angle on your elbow won't change. That's an isometric exercise.
Isotonic excersice cause the lenght of the muscle to change. For example, lifting the book over you chief and then bringing it support down. The angle in your elbow is varying.
If it helps, isometric stiffness is sometimes referred to as "static" while isotonic tension is call "dinamic"
Hope it helps!
