codene , vicoden[sp] are they matching?

my wife recived a perscription for vicoden, but the pharmesey[sp] gave here a small btl that said codene.what's up w/ dat ?? They are NOT like thing.
Vicodin is a combination of two medicine hydrocodone and acetominophen (acetominophen is generic for Tylenol)
Codeine and hydrocodone are both opioid analgesics.but they are NOT the same drug.
Check next to the pharmacist and your doctor to make sure the prescription is correct, and that you know when and how much to help yourself to.
Get the SPELLING of the medication correct and speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
Whenever you have a press about medication, GO TO YOUR PHARMACIST OR PHYSICIAN. This is not a pious place to get medication info, and lately peeking into a PDR may be more confusing than helpful.
NOTE: to the being above me, I wasn't referring to you (although it's true). It's best for the person above to receive information from the source. And that will ALWAYS be his physician or pharmacist, when someones health is at risk. This isn't around points. And by the way.you are still wrong. Vicodin CONTAINS hydrocodone AND another medication. Codeine, hydrocodone and oxycodone are similar surrounded by chemical structure, but have slight differences, and so have different properties. The details trade name the difference. But the message is the same. GO TO A PROFESSIONAL.
duplicate thing
Did it say aloud codone or codeine?
Codone and vicodin are both hydrocodone(generic name)
Codeine is different
globalmedops-I didn't say they be the same piece.Geez.
