Clinical scenario- read below.?

If a Respiratory Therapist notices upon treating a lenient that the patient is not trying or is not doing powerfully with his/her incentive spirometry and requirements to use this to prevent ateltectatisis or pneumonia then what other piece of psychiatric help equipment should be recommended to use for the doctor to order. Give the cross and the description and what it does? If the patient is not compliant (or cannot be compliant) beside IS, then IPPB will give support to. that will provide Intermittent Positive Pressure Breaths. It is basically a CPAP costume that you apply every once in a while to the merciful, like q4 hours or q2 hours. So while they are on the pall, they get CPAP which should help out reduce atelectasis and conscript more alveoli.
Another choice would be a coughulator or Vest, but that would be more appropriate to someone with tenacious secretion (like a CF patient)
That would be IPPB. I think, but I'm not sure, it stands for intermittent positive pressure breathing. It's a domestic device that uses pressure to force air into the lungs within order to supplement the patient's breathing and assistance prevent atelectasis.
