Check out this best answer going on for White Matter surrounded by your brain. Is it across the world Ture?

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;. No. The gray matter is the cortex of the brain and it consists of the neurons cell body, and unmyelinated axons. The cell body is where on earth the synapes are taking place, where on earth the brain is doing what the brain does. The white matter is insightful to the gray matter and it consists of myelinated axons. These axons are projections of the cell bodies within the gray matter. The cortex is where on earth all the thought processes lug place. There are cell bodies deep contained by the white matter but these are to further process things approaching motor impulses and other functions, but the thought is the cortex not the white concern. That other answer is not worth 50 points it is worth 1.2 points.
